Hey Paino Man, as far as I understand, Ryan has wanted to drop the "Ryan Adams &" portion of the band name, but is under some obligation to Lost Highway or another record label.
Subject: The Standout Song
Listening to this show was the first time I'd heard Neal's song, and while I liked the opening guitar riff quite a bit, his Marshall Crenshaw-ish vocals at the beginning honestly didn't give me much hope for the rest of the song. Oh man was I wrong.
This song soars way up high is a Colorado clear blue sky!
Ryan, you need to drop "Ryan Adams and" from the name of the band. Every god-damn one'a ya has more soul, heart, joy, and talent than any other artist out there today could ever hope to have.
